Flagstaff Black Lives Matter Protests 2020

In response to multiple occasions of police brutality and the death of black people while in police custody, many people across the country began protests for “Black Lives Matter.” In May 2020, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd were two black people that died at the hands of the police. This reinvigorated the Black Lives Matter movement not only in the United States, but across the world. Flagstaff, Ariz. joined the ranks of cities protesting for police reform and justice. There has been at least one protest every day for a week following the death of George Floyd.
